Refund & cancellation.

The short version

What you can expect.

  • Subscriptions can be canceled anytime; cancellation stops future billing.
  • Digital products are refundable within 14 days if not yet downloaded or used.
  • Advisory and consulting services are refundable for hours not yet rendered.
  • To request a refund, email admin@haugenoperationsgroup.com.
  • Approved refunds post in 5–10 business days to the original payment method.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy describes how Haugen Operations Group, LLC ("HOG," "we," "our," or "us") handles refunds and cancellations for the products and services we sell, including all sales made under our DBAs (ConnectWorks, LabReportPro, DIY TNT, and engagements under the name Jacob S. Haugen). All transactions are denominated in U.S. Dollars and processed through Stripe.

01Subscription products

Recurring subscriptions — including portal-based service subscriptions and software-as-a-service licenses — bill automatically at the cadence shown at checkout (typically monthly or annually) until canceled.

Cancellation. You can cancel a subscription at any time from the HOG client portal, or by emailing admin@haugenoperationsgroup.com. Cancellation stops future renewals immediately. You retain access through the end of the current paid period.

Refunds. Subscription fees already paid for the current billing period are non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or where HOG has materially failed to deliver the service. If you believe you've been billed in error — for example, after a cancellation that didn't process correctly — contact us within thirty (30) days of the charge and we will issue a refund of any erroneous charge.

02One-time digital products

Digital products sold as one-time purchases (downloadable templates, written guides, software licenses, reference materials, and similar items) are eligible for a full refund within fourteen (14) days of purchase, provided the product has not been downloaded, accessed, or substantively used. To request a refund, email admin@haugenoperationsgroup.com with the order details and the reason for the refund.

Once a digital product has been downloaded or accessed, refunds are issued at HOG's discretion and are typically limited to cases where the product is materially defective, materially mis-described, or fails to function as documented.

03Advisory, consulting, and professional services

Engagements for advisory, consulting, AI-integration, and other professional services are scoped and priced in a written proposal or engagement document.

Cancellation before work begins. If you cancel an engagement before any work has commenced, you'll receive a full refund of any deposit or prepayment, less any non-refundable third-party costs already incurred on your behalf and disclosed at the time of incurrence.

Cancellation after work begins. Once work has commenced, refunds cover only fees attributable to hours or deliverables not yet rendered. Hours already worked, milestones already delivered, and pre-purchased blocks of time already consumed are non-refundable. The relevant engagement document controls in case of conflict with this paragraph.

Dissatisfaction. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of services, contact us within thirty (30) days of the relevant deliverable. HOG will work in good faith to remedy the issue, which may include rework, partial credit, or — in cases of material failure — partial refund.

04Educational content under DIY TNT

Practical content sold under the DIY TNT business line (downloadable guides, project documentation, and similar items) is treated under the one-time digital products rule in Section 02: full refund within fourteen (14) days if the content has not been downloaded or substantively used.

05How to request a refund

All refund requests are handled by the firm directly:

  1. Email admin@haugenoperationsgroup.com with the subject line "Refund Request."
  2. Include the order number or invoice number, the date of the charge, and a brief description of the reason.
  3. We acknowledge requests within two (2) business days and respond with a decision within seven (7) business days.
  4. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and typically post within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer or bank.

06Chargebacks and disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first — we resolve nearly all billing issues directly and quickly. Initiating a chargeback through your card issuer without first contacting us slows resolution for everyone and may result in suspension of portal access until the dispute is resolved. HOG documents and contests chargebacks for charges that were properly authorized and for services that were properly delivered.

07Taxes

Refunds are issued for the amount actually charged, including any taxes that were collected at the time of purchase. HOG does not refund taxes that were not originally collected.

08Changes to this policy

HOG may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Changes apply only to purchases made after the effective date of the change; existing purchases remain governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
